Cotton is famous for its softness and breathability – the perfect fabric for a tank top. To counter the tendency of cotton to shrink, the fabric of this garment has been pre-shrunk. You might be interested to know that jersey knit wool has been around since medieval times. Nowadays we have jersey knit cotton which is a stretchy, breathable, soft, absorbent and well-structured fabric. This uses three threads per stitch to counter fraying.
